Wet room tiling & tanking in London
TLS Tiling tanks and tiles wet rooms and walk-in showers across London and around 20 miles beyond. We apply waterproofing systems to walls and floors, seal corners and pipe penetrations with tape and collars, then tile to falls where required. We fit tiles you supply, and we do tiling only — no plumbing, electrics or sanitaryware fitting.

What does tanking mean?
Tanking is applying a waterproof layer to walls and floors before tiling so water can't reach the substrate.
Do I need tanking for a normal shower?
It's strongly recommended for any shower enclosure, and essential for open wet rooms.
Do you install the wet room former or drain?
No — that's plumbing work. We tank and tile once the former and drain are installed.
Can mosaic be used on the shower floor?
Yes, small-format mosaic follows falls to the drain well and adds grip.
How long does tanking take to dry?
Usually several hours to overnight between coats, depending on the product and conditions.
Can you tank over plasterboard?
Yes, if it's securely fixed and primed, although tile backer board is the more robust option.
Will you tile the ceiling too?
We can tile ceilings where the structure supports it — mention it when you request a quote.
How soon can the shower be used?
Normally after grouting and silicone have fully cured — typically a day or two. We'll confirm on site.
Do you supply the tiles?
No — TLS Tiling fits the tiles you supply. You choose and buy your tiles, and we install them with care.
Do you do full bathroom installations?
No. We are a tiling-only specialist, so no plumbing, electrics or sanitaryware fitting. We handle the tiling side of the job.
